Gearing Up

We're gearing up for the run North. It'll be nice to cool off some.

Sammie and I had to make a repair to the rear door.

Roscoe the Wonder Dog is getting restless too. While Sammie and I were fixing the latch he was on the porch yelling "Wait for me!" His new buddy Alby is going to miss having Roscoe around...

Checked the oil, added washer fluid, brake and radiator levels are good, tires too. BTW, just for the record, on the trip down from SD we averaged 18MPG. Carbon credits? We don't need no stinking carbon credits!

We made a draw knife for Sammie today, probably the last project we'll get to do.

All packed and ready to go at first light... Sammie and JoAnn have been great! JoAnn is a GREAT cook and Rachel lent us her room so we didn't have to deal with the alligators and the ticks. We had a great time and we're going to miss the Southern Hospitality we've enjoyed here.
